Operation Gobble
Suburban Water Systems partners with local nonprofit organizations and elected officials to distribute turkeys and “fixings” to families during Thanksgiving. Each year Suburban Water Systems delivers over 1,000 turkeys to non-profit organizations who assist families in our service area.

Volunteering
Suburban Water Systems is proud of our Employee Volunteer Program. Employees are now allowed to use 8 hours of paid time to volunteer Monday-Friday for causes within our service area. This is a great way for us to support our communities we serve.

Shepherd’s Pantry Donation Drive
Suburban Water Systems employees team up with Shepherd’s Pantry, located in Glendora, to provide food to families in need in the communities we serve. Shepherds Pantry provides emergency food, clothing, resource assistance and educational programs to families in need.

Community Events
Suburban Water Systems is proud to participate and sponsor many community and school events in our service area. When applicable, Suburban Water Systems sets up informational booths where employees take the time to answer questions and communicate updates to customers and local elected officials.

Breast Cancer Fundraiser
Patient Donation: Every year Suburban Water Systems provides a donation to a breast cancer patient. In 2021, Suburban Water Systems partnered with La Mirada’s Relay for Life to help designate the deserving patient who will receive the donation to pay for basic necessities while undergoing treatment.

Suburban Water Systems is committed to developing mutually beneficial business relationships with Woman, Minority and Disabled Veteran, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Business Enterprises that have the capability to meet or exceed our requirements for products and services. Identifying these businesses, providing those opportunities to do business with us, and helping them succeed are essential elements in our own success and are directly in line with our mission and core values.

Theater Program
National Theatre for Children help educators inspire and prepare the next generation of scientists, artists, thinkers, pioneers and world citizens by providing free curriculum and performances to schools all over the country. Each year 20 to 25 schools in our service areas to educate children on the importance of conserving water.

Conservation Landscape Classes
Suburban Water Systems has been hosting classes each year since 2010. The instructor covers a lot of good information about keeping your landscape/yard in good shape while also conserving water. We offer 4 to 5 classes per year in the communities we serve.

WISH (LIRA) Program
Suburban Water Systems is pleased to offer the Water Invoice and Statement Help Program (WISH)– a low-income rate assistance program for qualifying residential customers. Each month, WISH provides a bill reducing credit on qualifying customers’ water bills.
