New Tapping

Welcome to Texas Water Utilities! If you are building your new home or adding an additional tapping, please follow our process below to set up your new water and/or wastewater service.

The Tapping Process

Submit application and meter/tapping placement request map.

Once we approve your application and survey of your lot, you will be invoiced for the install. Work will only begin once payment is received in full.

After all the information is completed, weather-permitting, the installation of your tap will be completed in five working days. For road bores, line extension, etc. it may take 30 working days.

Submitting Your Tapping Application

Please download and complete the application above. You must indicate whether the new tap is water, sewer or both.

Required Document 2: Meter/Tapping Placement Request Map

In order to streamline your installation, we must receive a marked-up official survey indicating tap and meter placement. This should include:

  • Location of the Property
  • Property Boundaries
  • Existing or planned structures
  • Adjacent roadways
  • Water Tap, Sewer Tap, or Grinder Location

New Taps

To apply for a new water and/or sewer tap, you must submit both the completed Tapping Application and the Tap Placement Map with the tap areas marked. For an example of this map, please see above this form.

Follow-up to your tapping application will be sent to this email address.
Please be sure to indicate on tapping application if this is water, sewer or both. One application per location.
