Vice President of Operations for Texas East Terry Benton was recently appointed as the representative of the National Association of Water Companies (NAWC) on the American Water Works Association’s Water Utility Council (WUC).

“I’m very humbled by this prestigious opportunity to advise on AWWA’s mission and to join in on important conversations of the future of water,” Terry Benton said.

The WUC is a national board that oversees the association’s government affairs program to ensure it represents the sector effectively to benefit water consumers. The council is composed of senior level water utility officials.

“We are excited for this opportunity for Terry to serve among this board,” COO Richard Rich said, “we know he will respectfully represent SouthWest Water and will provide valuable insight to help shape what’s going in the water industry across the country.”
