Suburban Water Systems Investing $40 million in Local Infrastructure

You are here: Home / Suburban / Suburban Water Systems Investing $40 million in Local Infrastructure

Suburban Water Systems is making critical investments to upgrade the local water system. Last year, about $38 million was invested, and this year, approximately $40 million of investment continues for reliable service, including over 23,300 feet of water main installation.

While much of the country’s water systems often go unnoticed, they deliver life-sustaining and public health support every single day. These systems are aging and need continuous investment to avoid crisis situations like we’ve seen in communities where investment needs are ignored. At Suburban Water Systems, we work hard to upgrade our local systems so our customers can continue to trust the service we deliver now and in the future.

Our customers support these important investments by paying their bill. Investment projects include, among others, the following:

– Replacing 4.5 miles of deteriorated water mains across Suburban’s service areas.

– Replacing a deteriorated 100-year-old partially buried concrete water tank with a seismically resilient above ground steel reservoir.

– Drilling a groundwater well in the Central Basin groundwater basin to increase local water supply reliability.

– Installing smart water meters to provide accurate and timely water usage data that customers can use to manage their efficient and affordable use of water.

Stay Informed.

If a customer is impacted by construction in their community, the utility will provide important information about any action needed. To ensure customer alerts and notifications are received, customers are encouraged to sign up for online account management via the My Account portal. From My Account, customers can set their alert notification preferences, sign up for paperless billing, pay their bill, and more. To log in or sign up for My Account, visit this website.
