This year, Texas Water Utilities is investing approximately $80 M to support continued reliable service.

Did you know?

Water and wastewater infrastructure is the backbone of a healthy community. We rely on our infrastructure systems to deliver the safe, reliable water and wastewater services we depend on each day.

Throughout the country, many of these systems are aging and in need of repair, rehabilitation and replacement. They require ongoing investment to maintain safe and reliable operations.

At Texas Water Utilities, we work hard to upgrade our local systems so our customers can continue to trust the service we deliver now and in the future. Our customers support these important investments by paying their bills.

2025 investments include, among others, the following:

  • Expanding the Forest Creek wastewater treatment plant to accommodate projected growth and maintain compliance with TCEQ permit standards.
  • Constructing a new water treatment plant and expanding the wastewater treatment plant in Decker Hills to accommodate projected growth within the community
  • Expanding the capacity and improving the technology at the wastewater treatment plant in Holiday Villages of Medina, and a generator for the wastewater treatment plant in Lake Medina Shores.
  • Developing a wastewater lift station and gravity collection system for the expansion in Hornsby Bend to support current and future growth needs.
  • Replaced the well at Heritage Park to facilitate adequate water supply for the community.
  • Constructed new water and wastewater treatment facilities for the new Williams Trails community.
  • Upgrading our customer metering technology to provide a holistic view of customer water usage patterns.
