On August 17, 2022, Texas Water Utilities was honored to participate in a groundbreaking ceremony for the upcoming Western Homes drainage improvement project led by Harris County’s Precinct 2. Melissa Rich, vice president of operations – Southeast, represented Texas Water Utilities at the event, and Harris County Precinct Two Commissioner Adrian Garcia was also in attendance to support these efforts.

Once complete, the upgraded drainage will improve water flow to prevent flooding and minimize runoff pollutants from reaching rivers, lakes and streams.
