A contractor, not associated with Callawassie Island Utility, hit the main water line that provides water to Callawassie and Spring Islands on Wednesday afternoon. Beaufort Jasper Water has a crew onsite to isolate and repair the leak.
Please be advised that due to these emergency repairs being made today, your water service is interrupted. Upon restoration of service, while we believe the water will be of good quality, a precautionary boil water advisory will be in effect.
