Understanding the Value of Water One Step at a Time

You are here: Home / South Carolina / Understanding the Value of Water One Step at a Time

KIU Volunteering

Recently, thousands rallied together in Charleston to give hope to those who lack access to safe water. It’s more than a walk; it’s an event that will impact people around the world forever by providing solutions that save lives.

A number of SouthWest Water Company employees at Kiawah Island Utility joined the walk to show their support in raising awareness of the value of water.

This walk is in support of Water Mission which is a nonprofit, Christian engineering organization based in North Charleston, South Carolina, that designs, builds and implements safe water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) solutions for people in developing countries and disaster areas. Since 2001, Water Mission has provided access to safe water for more than 3 million people in 52 countries.

A video is available if you’re interested in learning more about this walk.
