Grayson County Water Improvement Efforts

You are here: Home / Business / Grayson County Water Improvement Efforts

SouthWest Water Company acquired several systems in Grayson County, located in northeast Texas, in 2005 from TECON Water Holdings. Since then, we’ve invested more than 4 million dollars and our team has worked tirelessly to bring the systems up to state standards and improve water quality and supply for our customers.

Prior to capital investments from SouthWest Water, Rocky Point, Ridgecrest, Tanglewood and Sherwood Shores experienced poor water quality and supply. Thanks to the company’s efforts, water quality and supply in these areas have vastly improved. To make this happen, SouthWest Water rehabbed some existing wells and completely replaced other wells.

In addition to water quality improvements, SouthWest Water built pump stations and pipelines in Grayson County to increase water supply.

As one example, in 2012, SouthWest Water spent more than half a million dollars to build a water pipeline from the City of Pottsboro to increase supply for the Tanglewood Utility.
