Randy served as New York State Secretary of State under Governor George Pataki from April 2001 until September 2005. From 1995 to 1999, Randy served under governor Pataki as Senior Vice President and Deputy Commissioner of Economic Revitalization at the Empire State Development Corporation (ESDC). Randy also served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the State University of New York (SUNY) Board of Trustees.
Randy currently serves as Managing Director of Pickwick Capital Partners, LLC, an investment banking firm. He also served 8 years as Vice Chairman of Gilford Securities Incorporated (2007 to 2015).
Randy was Press Secretary to the Prime Minister of the Bahamas from 1988-92, Director of communications for the New York City Council President’s Office from 1986-88, and was an adjunct journalism professor at both the City College of New York and Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism. Prior to his career in public service, Randy was a broadcast journalist.
Randy holds a BA in government and journalism from Southern Illinois University.
